A Night to Remember: Transforming Classic Elegance into an Unforgettable Celebration
This corporate event for a Boston-based pharmaceutical company was truly one for the books. After last year’s futuristic disco-themed extravaganza—an epic dance party that guests raved about—we wanted to create an experience that felt completely fresh yet equally unforgettable. This year’s vision? A glamorous, classic vibe with a high-society twist.
Guests arrived to a dramatic entrance featuring a grand feathery tower reception framed by gold stanchions, black ropes, and sultry red uplights. Just past the entrance, they encountered a VIP nightclub door, complete with a bouncer letting them know it was closed—for now—and teasing an exciting surprise later. Meanwhile, a 360° photo booth and a sleek black lounge provided chic spots to mingle before heading into the main ballroom at the Newton Marriott.
Inside, attendees were greeted by an opulent golden centerpiece: a round focal display featuring a 10-foot-tall feathery tower. The bar area was framed by luxurious black velvet lounges and high-tops adorned with moody mini lamps, creating an inviting, elegant atmosphere. The centerpiece of the ballroom was a sea of perfectly illuminated casino tables, transforming the space into a prohibition-inspired gaming experience. Surrounding the tables were stunning table settings dripping in pearls, martini glasses, and feather accents, evoking a sense of vintage glamour.
At center stage, a Sinatra-style band set the tone with smooth jazz classics, transporting guests back to a nostalgic era of elegance. In front of the stage, a cozy jazz club-style seating arrangement of low tables gave guests the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the show. The stage itself was framed by a striking goalpost truss structure, and a purple-lit fan backdrop added a bold and theatrical touch, perfectly complementing the live performances.
The surprises didn’t stop there. Midway through the evening, a Marilyn Monroe impersonator wowed the crowd with her charm, beauty, and spot-on performance. She then led the guests downstairs, unveiling the VIP nightclub that had finally opened its doors.
The nightclub was a completely different world, decked out in a palette of teals, blues, black, white, and silver. White lounges paired with black accents, mirrored high-tops, black-and-white checkered bars, and oversized marquee banners featuring the Rat Pack created a bold, energetic vibe. A jaw-dropping light show kicked the party into high gear, and the space quickly came alive with energy.
As if that wasn’t enough, a flapper dance troupe made a surprise appearance, delighting the guests with their lively performance before joining the dance floor alongside “Marilyn.” The party hit its peak as MC Strave and our incredible entertainment team brought the heat, keeping everyone dancing well into the night.
By the time the night ended, the room was a glorious mess—a true testament to the incredible time had by all. This event proved that magic happens when classic elegance meets unforgettable entertainment.
